Looe Island - Looe Bay

Looe Island - Looe Bay - Polperro
Join us for an exhilarating 45-minute wildlife and sightseeing trip. Our experienced skippers will guide you on wildlife, points of interest and where to get the best photos.
This tour covers the best of what’s local to Looe, heading out around the seals of Looe Island then speeding down to the historic port of Polperro before hugging the coast back heading east for a final flourish around Looe Bay.

Our 90-minute coastal safari gives you the chance to take in even more of the stunning Cornish coastline and see all its hidden coves, beaches and wildlife.
Our skipper will share some local stories whilst taking you to the best spots to see seals, dolphins and seabirds.
Towards the end of August - October you might even see bluefin tuna which have turned up in great numbers off the Cornish coast in recent years

On leaving Looe harbour we will stop around Looe Island to look for the resident seals before making our way on the passage towards the Eddystone lighthouse whilst looking out for dolphins which are often seen on this route. Once at the Eddystone lighthouse there will be photo opportunities. We will then cross to Rame Head picking up the coast and following it down through the beautiful Whitsand Bay, passing Portwinkle, Downderry and Seaton on the way back to Looe.

A wind/waterproof coat is always a good idea and as it is a lot cooler on the water.
Suitable footwear; either trainers or shoes with plenty of grip for safety whilst getting on and off the boat.
Phone or camera to capture your trip and wildlife; this is brought at your own risk, and we recommend a zip pocket to keep it secure!
Sunglasses; not only to protect from the sun but also sea spray on breezier days
There is always a chance of getting wet due to the nature of a fast open boat. Waterproofs are available to use provided by Looe Sea Safari
The sun can be very strong whilst out on the water; please be aware of the duration of your trip and use sun cream / sun protection prior to boarding

We know the best places to look for wildlife and more than often see wildlife on our trips, but we cannot guarantee sightings.
